Post-Valentine’s Questionare (About the Guys)

So yesterday, we posted a questionare that mostly focused on me. Well, now it’s my time to start up a questionare. This time, it’s about the fellas in our lives. We’ll do the same rules as the Valentine’s Day Link-Up from The Life of a Not So Ordinary Wife‘s original post:

1. Have your spouse/boyfriend/man of your dreams fill out these questions. You can always add your own to the list.

2. You answer them as well (no peeking at his answers).

3. Publish answers from the both of you.

4. Link up to your post below in the comments.

5. Put the button on your page, linking back to this post (You just have to copy and paste the code for it to appear and automatically link back to us).

4. What is his favorite movie of all time?
5. What was the best gift he ever received?
6. What is her favorite thing about him?
7. What things at home need to be repaired?
8. What things at home need to be cleaned?

So? How did we do? Here are our answers:

1. If he could eat anything, what would it be?
Dory: I would say…a steak, a cheeseburger, salmon, stuffed peppers…a steak.
Tim: Probably, a bacon cheeseburger.

2. What is the best thing his mom ever made?
Dory:  I think Mac and Cheese.
Tim:  My mom’s (grandmoms, actually) mac and cheese.

3. What did he want to be when he grew up (when he was 5)?
Dory: A chimney sweep (like Burt).  (Tim’s note – this is true, but when I was 2-3 years old)
Tim:  I think I wanted to work at McDonalds…it seemed like a very important job at the time!

4. What is his favorite movie of all time?
Dory:  Star Wars.
Tim:  Tough to pick, but probably the original Star Wars trilogy.

5. What was the best gift he ever received?
Dory:  The iPhone that I gave him last year.
Tim:  While it may not be the “best,” the one I remember most was the first gift Dory gave me.  Before we started dating, and shortly after we really met, Dory gave me a small birthday gift – a basketball hoop that hung on a trashcan.  I later found out that this came from her parents gift closet (where items go to be re-gifted) because she forgot it was my birthday and had to bring something to the party.  It’s something we still laugh about.

6. What is her favorite thing about him?
Dory:  The way he protects me and takes care of me.
Tim:  Another tough question.  I think Dory’s favorite thing about me would be how I try to take care of her, Lucy and Toby.  I may not always be the most thoughtful, but at least I’m always looking out for them.

7. What things at home need to be repaired?
Dory:  The door to the laundry room needs to be able to be closed, and some of our kitchen cabinet drawers need to be fixed.
Tim:  We have a pretty long Honey-Do list, but the biggest thing would probably be fixing our clothes dryer vent so that the laundry room door shuts.

8. What things at home need to be cleaned?
Dory:  The floors – with two long haired animals, we have a little dust.
Tim:  Mostly just the garage and attic.

9. What is his least favorite chore?
Dory:  Tim’s least favorite chore is cleaning the bathrooms.
Tim: Definitely vacuuming/cleaning the floors.

10. What does she do that irritates you?
Dory:  I leave things around the house, then get mad that things are messy.
Tim:  I hate to be late.  When we’re getting ready to go somewhere, and set a time to leave,  I’m ready to go then…sometimes, Dory isn’t quite so punctual!

11. Where is one place in the world that he would like to visit together?
Dory:  Either Ireland or maybe Italy.  I’m going to say Europe.
Tim:  Probably Hawaii, though I’m not sure I’ll be able to get Dory on a plane for that long.

12. What is his favorite thing about this blog?
Dory:  It keeps me entertained and gives me a hobby.
Tim:  My favorite thing about the blog is how well Dory documents our lives.  It gives her a place to store pictures, memories, and stories where we can both share them when they happen and find them again later.

13. Who is his celebrity crush?
Dory:  I don’t think he has one.  But, it could be me, because I am on IMDB.com
Tim:  I don’t think I really have one.  It’ll be interesting to see what Dory says here. (Tim’s note – not so interesting, it turns out)

14. What is his favorite thing to say?
Dory:  Lets Go Hokies!
Tim:  So…..

15. What is his favorite thing about your relationship?
Dory:  How much fun we still have together, even after 10 years.
Tim:  I enjoy how we work together to solve problems.  We’ve had our share of disagreements and challenges, but I’m really proud of the way we stay on the same page with our decisions and goals.

  1. So, Dory…I was looking for the basketball hoop that goes on a garbage can. Have you seen it? Just kidding….I love your answers (McDonald’s, Tim??). And yes, it IS an important job. This needs to be a family contest. I am really interested to see how dad and I do. I really laughed out loud at your answers, Dory and Tim.

  2. Dory says:

Haha! Sorry, Mama! That is loooooooong gone! We actually do need to find that piece of Tim/Dory history. Hopefully it is still somewhere at the Doyles’ house. I would love to see you post a response! I know you don’t have a blog, but you can certainly leave it in the comments!
